Privacy Policy

Effective October 29, 2026

The short version. Morse Mastery has no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and it makes no network requests of its own. Your progress and settings are stored only on your phone. Nothing about you reaches us unless you choose to send it: a file you share, or a message you write to support.

1. Who we are

The Morse Mastery app (the “App”) and the website at morsecodemastery.com (the “Website”) are provided by Exystems, LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States. For anything about privacy, write to support@morsecodemastery.com.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Exystems, LLC is the data controller for the limited processing described below.

2. What the App does not collect

  • No account. There is no sign-up or sign-in, and the App never asks for your name, email address or phone number.
  • No network requests of its own. The App contains no code that sends data to us or to anyone else. It works the same in airplane mode.
  • No analytics, ads or tracking. There is no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDK in the App, no advertising identifier is read, and no usage data is collected.
  • No location, contacts, photos or microphone. The App does not ask for any of them.

3. What stays on your device

The App stores the following in its private storage on your phone. None of it is sent anywhere.

  • Your progress: lessons completed, scores, practice history, streaks and achievements.
  • Your settings: tone, speed, output mode and similar preferences.
  • A diagnostics log: technical error messages from the App itself, capped at 256 KB, so a problem can be investigated if you choose to share it. It is not designed to contain personal information.

Uninstalling the App deletes all of it. Settings → Reset removes your progress without uninstalling.

4. Permissions

PermissionWhy
CameraOnly to switch the camera flash on and off when you choose light as the output. The App never opens the camera viewfinder, takes a picture or records video.
VibrationTo play morse as vibration, and for haptic feedback in games.
Audio settings (Android)To play the morse tone with low delay through the speaker or headphones.

5. Things you can choose to share

  • Exporting progress. Settings can export your progress to a file and hand it to your phone’s share sheet. Where that file goes is up to you; it does not come to us unless you send it to us. Your purchase is deliberately left out of the file.
  • Importing progress. The App reads only the one file you pick.
  • Sharing the diagnostics log. Settings → Diagnostics can hand the log to the share sheet, for example to attach it to an email to support.

6. Purchases and ratings

The one-time unlock is sold through Google Play (and, once available, the Apple App Store). The store processes the payment under its own privacy policy; we never see your card or bank details. The store gives us only what its developer console provides, such as an order number, the date, the country and the amount. The App remembers on your phone that the unlock has been bought, and asks the store again when you tap Restore.

After you have used the App for a while, it may show the store’s own rating dialog. That dialog is run by Google or Apple; anything you write in it is handled under their policies. The App only remembers, on your phone, how many activities you have completed and when it last asked, so it does not ask too often.

7. The Website

The Website is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect them from abuse, under its own privacy policy. The morse key on the home page runs entirely in your browser.

If you use the form on the support page, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. The form is delivered to our inbox by Resend, our email provider, and may be checked for spam by Cloudflare Turnstile. We use it only to reply to you, keep it for up to 24 months, and delete it sooner if you ask. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your request (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

8. Sharing and selling

We do not sell or rent personal information and do not share it for advertising. The only parties that ever handle information about you are the ones named above: the app stores for purchases and ratings, and Cloudflare and Resend for the Website.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of, or the deletion of, any support correspondence we hold about you; that is the only personal information we hold. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland also have the rights to rectification, restriction, objection and to complain to their data protection authority. California residents have the rights given by the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. Write to support@morsecodemastery.com.

10. Children

The App is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children. The support form is not directed at children under 13; if we learn that a child has sent us a message, we delete it after replying to a parent or guardian.

11. Security

Your data stays in the App’s private storage, protected by your phone’s own security. The Website is served only over HTTPS.

12. Changes

If the App ever starts handling data differently, this policy will change before or with that version, and the date at the top will change with it.
